New Video: Hold It Against Me

Britney's new video for Hold It Against Me is out. What do you think of it?

My opinion:
I'm not a big Britney fan. But the song is a good song. I first didn't get the video, until I read some comments. There was just one thing that bothered me: the paint. If you have seen Willow Smith's video Whip My Hair, you'll probably get what I mean. But like I said, it WAS a thing that bothered me. Just like the "I didn't get the video" part, I now get the paint. Britney's fans are very enthusiastic, and I gotta say, Britney did a great job. I really like the creativity of this video. It's different and at the same time it's beautiful because she shows you the story of her life.

Your opinions:
"I will admit this is not brit's best dance video, but i think it's her most creative. If you're able to see past the dancing its the story of her life. How she came into the industry like a meteor, and started to rise into fame and praised for her music videos. Then she starts to fall, and suffers from a terrible battle within herself aka her meltdown covering all her past work with paint. BUT she is able to rise from the ashes and come back stronger than ever. GET EM BRITNEY!" ~ passionkiss91

"Britney Pop Princess now, in the future QUEEN OF POP!!!
Well done Britney, this is a great and weird video i was hoping something different for this video but what the hell it still great, but you're still hot, beautiful and amazing, i hope the rest of your album will be great too" ~ lightsaver890

"OMGGGGGGGGGG I LOVE THIS VIDEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BRITNEY LOOKS AMAZINGGGGGGGGGGGG EVERY PART OF IT IS GENIUS THE FIGHT SCENE IS EPIC!!!!!!!! BRITNEY IS BACK AND FIERCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" ~ awesomeguy146

"Hey you all Beyoncé, Rihanna, Minaj, Gaga and Taylor…gogo with swift… make a way…here comes the Princess Of Pop (POP)….Ms Spears…!!!
10 out of 10 for best video in next Grammy, mtv…or what have you!
BTW…anybody noticed…all the monitor screens in the background set playing Britney’s old music video starting from her first hit…" ~ litesoundcameraction

"YAWN. No energy, no passion, she might as well be sleeping. So fucking boring." ~ eatsomebrainsx

New Artist: Oh Land

This Danish girl has a different, but great voice. Even if you don't like her music you got to admit that.

Nanna Øland Fabricius, better known as Oh Land, makes catchy electronic pop music. Her biography on her site says "She has created a soundscape that dreams as hard as it dances." and that's totally true. It's not music you hear most of the time, but it's just as good. Another quote from her biography says "I want my music to feel like 2050 meets something really classic, like meeting a stranger that feels as familiar as an old friend." And I gotta say, Miss Oh Land totally did that.

Oh Land's debut album called Fauna was released November 2008.

Fauna track list:
1. Numb
2. Still Here
3. Frostbite
4. Heavy Eyes
5. Postpone the Bad
6. Koo Koo
7. Audition Day
8. I Found You
9. Release Me
10. Namazu
11. Alive/Awake
12. Deep Sea

Oh Land's new, self-titled, EP was released 2 days ago: 8 Februari 2011

Oh Land track list:
1. Sun of a Gun
2. White Nights
3. We Turn It Up
4. Rainbow
5. Wolf & I

Both albums are great. My favorites songs are White Nighs, We Turn It Up and Sun of a Gun.

New Artist: Fefe Dobson

The Canadian Fefe Dobson has a powerful voice. This singer-songwriter is a tough chick.

Felicia Lily Dobson makes alternative/indie/rock music with a catchy beat. Fefe Dobson is not really a new artist, since her first album came out in 2003. But to me she's new.

Meanwhile, she already has 2 albums plus 1 unreleased album. Her first, self-titled, album came out in 2003. 4 songs of that album became singles; Bye Bye Boyfriend, Take Me Away, Everything and Don't Go (Girls and Boys). Fun fact; Drake Bell has an appearance in the music video of Don't Go (Girls and Boys).

Fefe Dobson track list:
1. Stupid Little Love Song
2. Bye Bye Boyfriend
3. Take Me Away
4. Everything
5. Rock It 'til You Drop It
6. Revolution Song
7. Kiss Me Fool
8. Unforgiven
9. We Went For A Ride
10. Give It Up
11. Julia
12. 8x10
13. Don't Go (Girls and Boys)
14. Rainbow

Fefe's second album, Sunday Love, was unreleased. Some songs were covered. Start All Over, a song that never made the album, was covered by Miley Cyrus. Don't Let It Go To Your Head, the first single, was covered by Jordin Sparks, and As A Blonde was covered by Selena Gomez. After Don't Let It Go To Your Head, Fefe's song This Is My Life became a single.

Sunday Love track list:
1. As A Blonde
2. Don't Let It Go To Your Head
3. If I Was A Guy
4. Get You Off
5. This Is My Life
6. Scar
7. Miss Vicious
8. Man Meets Boy
9. Get Over Me
10. Hole
11. The Initiator
12. Yeah, Yeah, Yeah
13. Be Strong

Fefe's latest album Joy is recently released, at November 22 2010. Her site says the album is "a clear indication that she will be doing things her way, or not at all. "

Joy track list:
1. Intro
2. Ghost
3. Thanks For Nothing
4. Stuttering
5. Can't Breathe ft. Orianthi
6. You Bitch
7. Didn't See You Coming
8. Watch Me Move
9. I Want You
10. I'm A Lady
11. In Your Touch
